This is taken from the book "Science Fact" edited by Professor Frank George and published by Angus & Robertson in 1978.

"Unlimited informatuion at the end of your phone, By 1978 Videofile will be an public service. Harnessing the telephone and an ordinary TV set or a purpose built set as shown in these two pictures. You will dial a telephone number which links your TV set with contantly updated information. By Pressing a keyboard to call up the information required, the data is displayed on the screen.
Information will range from news, sport, hobbies, train times, classified advertisements, recipies, personal messages and later to answer specific questions and problems. Whole encyclopaedias and reference libraries will ultimately be `accessed' by Videofile."
